Applicant May Be Eligible

Based on the answers provided, it appears that the applicant is eligible for a fee waiver or deferral.

This tool is a guide to help determine if someone may or may not be eligible for a fee waiver or deferral from teh court. Ultimately, the decision on who qualifies is up to the court.
Based upon the qualifying question, the applicant will have to provide the following documents as proof of eligibility:

Category A:

  • Statement showing the recipt of TANF or food stamp benefits, OR
  • A letter of representation from a non-profit legal aid program, OR
  • Last two pay statements for Social Security Income benefits

Category B:

  • Last two pay stubs that show household income, AND
  • Other forms of income:
    • Spouse's monthly income
    • Spousal maintenance/support
    • Retirement income
    • Pensions
    • Lottery winnings
    • Rental income

Category C:

  • Documents from Category B, AND
  • Bills and supportive documents demonstrating extraordinary expenses
    • Medical Bills
    • Cost of care for elderly or disabled family members
    • Other expenses
