Steps for a Trial de Novo

The following are the basic steps that must be taken to ensure that a new trial has been set in a civil traffic appeal.  Detailed descriptions of each step can be found here:

Step 1: Trial de Novo is ordered by the Superior Court

Step 2: Appellant receives notification of new trial information. 

  • If a trial date is not provided, contact the court clerk to see if one has been set.  If a date has not been set, file a motion requesting a trial.

Step 3: Prepare your case for trial

Step 4: Trial is held

Step 5: Judgment
