What is a parent education class?
In Arizona, a Parent Education Program (sometimes referred to as Parent Information Program or PIP) is a required class for parents when a court case involves their children.
Parent education classes teach about:
- Basic family court procedures
- The impact a divorce/annulment/separation has on children
- How to reduce the stress or emotional harm on children
- Co-parenting and communication skills
- Emotional and financial responsibilities of parents
