How do I serve the papers on someone who is out of state?

Requirements for serving a person depend on the type of case. You may consult an attorney or refer to Rule 4.2. Service of Process Outside Arizona of Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure, or Rule 41. Service Within or Outside of Arizona of Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure, based on the type of case. 

Contact law enforcement or the local courts for a list of process servers or constables in that state.
