How do I know if a will is valid?

For a will to be valid in Arizona, the will must be:

  • in writing
  • signed by the dead person or signed in the name of the dead person, before death, while the dead person was there to witness and approve of the signing
  • signed by at least two witnesses, each of whom signed within a reasonable time after the owner signed the will in one of the methods listed above
