If the estate qualifies for the Small Estate Transfer, how long is the process?

It varies, depending on the type of property you claim.  If you are claiming only personal property, you must wait at least 30 days after the death to make your claim.  If you are claiming real property, you must wait at least 6 months after the death to make your claim.
