I have been ordered to surrender my firearms. When can I get them back?

The judge may order a person to turn over ALL firearms if the judge believe that they are a credible threat to the plaintiff or other protected persons. If an order is issued, the defendant must turn over all the firearms in their possession to the local law enforcement agency. When the order expires (one year), they may request the return of their firearms from the law enforcement agency that is holding them. The defendant may also request a hearing to modify the order to request the return of their firearms.
