By law, there are NO fees when requesting or serving an Order of Protection, Emergency Order of Protection, or Release Order.
There is no fee to file an Injunction Against Harassment, but there is a fee to have it served on the defendant. These fees may be waived or deferred based on the financial situation of the victim.
Fees are also charged to an employer when they file an Injunction Against Workplace Harassment (IAWH) or have the IAWH served to the offender. The application for an IAWH varies depending on the type of courthouse where the employer has filed. If the employer cannot afford the service fees, the employer may ask the court to waive or defer the fees.
