FAQ - Divorce

In the fall of 2024, the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) mailed letters to parents who once had an open dependency and/or severance case.

Did you receive a letter? Visit the DCS letter page for more information.

My ex-spouse is not complying with the court order. How do I make them comply?

To enforce a court order, you may file a petition for enforcement, or you may initiate a contempt proceeding with an order to show cause or order to appear, depending on the situation. Your court might have a do-it-yourself packet to enforce the decree that includes instructions and forms. Some courts offer special programs, such as counseling, or require additional steps, such as mediation.
