Where is the Cottonwood Municipal Court located?
The Cottonwood Municipal Court is located off of Mingus Ave. and 6th Street, across the street from the Yavapai Government Complex. It is open from 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Only ADA approved service animals are allowed in the building. There is a bus stop located across the street for those with transportation constraints.

There is free public parking outside the courthouse. Do not park in the designated spots for courthouse employees. Handicapped parking is clearly marked along the north end of the parking lot, in front of the courthouse.

Clerk Window and Lobby
The Court Clerk assists with taking payments, filing paperwork, and scheduling. The court accepts cash, credit cards, money orders, cashiers checks, and online payments. No personal checks or American Express Cards are accepted. Call in advance if you are looking to schedule a wedding.

Meeting Rooms
There are two rooms designated as meeting rooms. These rooms are used as client-attorney meeting areas and spaces for individuals during a court hearing. Access to these rooms has to be granted through the clerk.

The courtroom is located off of the lobby area, through the double doors. If you have a scheduled hearing, you will sign in inside the courtroom. Cell phones, video cameras, and recording equipment are not allowed into the courtroom. Children are not allowed unless given permission. Please ensure that you are dressed appropriately.

The conference room, directly across from the courtroom is dedicated to jury assembly, jury deliberations, mediations, and employee trainings.

Technology
The courtroom has equipment for individuals to use if they need to present exhibits digitally. Materials must be brought in on a USB drive or dvd to share with the Court. Requests for equipment must be made in writing prior to the hearing date. Sound amplifiers are available for those with hearing impairments. Hearings are recorded and available for $17.00.

Jury
If you have received a summons for jury duty, read the directions completely and report on your assigned day. You will check-in with a courthouse employee on that day and be told to wait in either the lobby or conference room. Jurors will then be called for selection in the courtroom and those not chosen will be dismissed. Jurors are pulled from eligible Cottonwood residents.
