| Disposition | The disposing of a case through sentencing or other major case status change or settlement. The final settlement of a matter with reference to decisions announced by the court. A judges ruling is commonly referred to as a disposition, regardless of the level of resolution. A disposition is not always final, such as a default reported to MVD as a case disposition may not be the final adjudication in the case. |
| Disregard | In TANF cases, the amount of child support, up to $50, actually paid by the obligor and disbursed to the aid recipient in addition to the monthly TANF grant. Termed "disregard" because it is not considered by IV-A to determine TANF eligibility. |
| Dissolution of Marriage | The term used in Arizona Law for divorce. |
| Distributee | Any person who has received property of a decedent from that person's personal representative other than as a creditor or purchaser. Distributee includes a testamentary trustee only to the extent of distributed assets or increment that remains in that person's hands. A beneficiary of a testamentary trust to whom the trustee has distributed property received from a personal representative is a distributee of the personal representative. For the purposes of this paragraph, "testamentary trustee" includes a trustee to whom assets are transferred by will, to the extent of the devised assets. |
