Many business owners believe that forming an LLC or corporation automatically protects their personal assets. This seminar explains - in plain language - when business owners might still be held personally responsible for business debts, including situations involving personal guarantees and when courts may “pierce the corporate veil.” Participants will learn how these protections can break down, what actions increase personal risk, and how business decisions and guarantees can unintentionally expose personal assets. The goal is to help business owners better understand where liability begins, where it ends, and how to avoid costly surprises.
This presentation will be led by Lisa Thompson of Thompson Law, PC.
